| Though the picture of industrial abrasive manufacturers has changed significantly over the last decade, the US continues the leading producer of abrasive products developing new abrasive grains and tools that help to set international standards for quality and performance. This listing is primarily a directory of manufacturers of industrial abrasives, a portion of the industry as defined by the North American Industrial Classification Standard. Therefore this list doesn't reflect abrasives technology as a whole. In addition to making products, companies below are important sources of technical information on the proper use and application of abrasives. The focus here is upon companies that manufacture goods, but it is difficult at times to distinguish manufacturers from distributors with private labelled products.
